- Quality Management System and ISO 9001
Our Quality Standards
PILATO’s quality management system is certified in accordance with ISO 9001. The certification covers all the activities provided by the company: grinding and micronisation of mineral raw materials, the manufacture of zinc oxide from pure metal, and the marketing of minerals and chemical products for industry.
We also hold GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certification for our 99.9% zinc oxide manufacturing process, confirming compliance with recognised manufacturing and process-control practices for applications requiring the highest quality standards.
Maintaining this certification over many years reflects the commitment behind our operating model, which is based on continuous improvement, constant process control and the preparation of detailed technical documentation.
Environment and Efficiency
Our environmental commitment is translated into concrete action: reducing CO₂ emissions through operational improvements, controlling dust using high-efficiency filtration systems, and applying dry grinding processes to achieve zero discharge of industrial wastewater.
We are also progressing towards decarbonisation through a strong commitment to photovoltaic energy, supported by investments at our production facilities that help reduce emissions and our carbon footprint. At PILATO, we can provide organisation-level carbon footprint calculations, as well as product carbon footprint calculations for our most relevant products, upon customer request.
We prioritise the responsible use of raw materials and a circular approach throughout the value chain.

A Commitment to Integrity and Transparency
We operate an Internal Reporting System aligned with Spanish Law 2/2023, providing a secure and confidential channel for reporting potential misconduct and protecting whistleblowers against retaliation.
